I'm not yet sure if I'm crazy for diving right back into another show, but regardless, it's happening and I'm beyond excited. Chabod Academy will be performing "Fiddler on the Roof" on May 15th and 16th. (Save the date!) I will once again be stepping into my Director shoes along with the production team at Chabod - Connie Deinner, Janelle Stoltzfus, and Ben Krothe. Next Thursday are the auditions, which by the way are open to the public. If you're interested, please let me know.
Yes, I'll be auditioning. It will be my first musical solo appearance in years! Thanks to the recommendations of my friend, I was able to find a song that is really stretching me. My mom assures me that if I practice everyday, I can rebuild my vocal chords. Apparently, once a singer, always a singer. (Thanks for the encouragement mom!)
Between the emotional monologue and broadway song I've been rehearsing all night, I'm exhausted...and speechless. (The latter being the result of weak vocal chords.)
I'll keep you posted on the audition results, although I'm not too nervous - I know the director.

Jonas and His Routine Checkup
Yesterday morning, my Uncle Jonas went to have a routine colonoscopy. During the procedure, the scope became caught and ripped a 3-inch tear in the wall of his colon. He was rushed to an emergency surgery, which, according to the doctor was the best case scenario for this worst case situation. They have started a blog to keep everyone posted. The entire story and updates can be found here. Please keep Jonas and his family in your prayers during the rest of this process.

"The Kids"
Who need's television when you have "Sassy Sissy", "The Jester", "Baby Protector Extraordinaire", and "The Dark Ninja" spending the night? LaVale and I invited "the kids" to the house for a sleepover of sorts. Although, I may have been the only one who slept. Mia was sick and warranted a pickup from her mom and dad at some point after eleven. Ryan coughed his sleep away until about 7AM when the medicine kicked in. And who knows how long Cristian and Trinity actually slept. Faux Sleepovers are fun!

Happy New Years
May your year be filled with peace and joy abounding. May it be a year that dreams begin to make their way into reality, and ambitions fulfilled. May you intentionally enjoy and find laughter every day you awake.
Leave what lies behind, and embrace what lies ahead. Choose contentment. Choose peace. Choose Love. Happy New Year!

Hurry, 2008 Is Over
Before embracing the new year, I wanted to take a moment and remember the past few months that have been suspiciously missing from the blogosphere.
LABOR DAY AT THE FARM
Another leisurely climb up the water tower and more motorized toys to play with.

NEW HOLLAND FAIR WITH CHABOD ACADEMY
We had the opportunity to perform at the fair. (We also had the #2 float!)
