Out Of Office Auto Reply

After trying to plan a get together with LaVale and Gloria, and realizing we are all unbelievably busy, I sent this in attempts to explain the moment.

Automatic Out Of Office Reply:
Yes, I did fall of the face of the earth. Thank you for noticing.

I'll be back sometime early Fall. If you need me, leaf me an voicemail or email, and once I return from hibernation I shall be extremely sleepy from so much fake rest that I may not comprehend who you are until next Spring. But in the meantime, please don't forget my birthday in December. All packages can be sent directly to my agent in Bora Bora, off the coast of Ohio.

Enjoy your seasoned fruit! Don't forget to floss out all your tofu Turkey from Thanksgiving.

Happy Merry Hanukkah. May Jesus be with you.

Life is very full right now, and I'm grateful for every moment. I have a lot going on, and there are moments when I want to stop and get some down time, but there always seems to be more than enough strength poured out upon me to keep moving forward.

And more than anything, I want to keep moving forward. -Philippians 3:13-

I'm Back

I just returned from another trip to Virginia. It was a extremely relaxing weekend.

Life is excellent, and I hope that everyone reading can say the same. Whatever we face. Whatever we deal with. I hope that each person takes the time to make the most of every opportunity. Today I hope to smile more, to laugh hysterically, and to find the good in anyone and everything. I don't want to waste another second, and today I choose to believe that every second is filled with peace.

And that's the best choice I made all day. It's better this way.

Peace,
Gent

Jet Ski's Are Fun

The other day we, (Mom, Dad, Greg, Carla, Mr. and Mrs. Green), went Jet Skiing on Blue Marsh Lake. It was nice to get back out on the water. I can't wait to go again! (And I'm so glad I stayed up late to finish getting my boating license the night before. It was worth losing sleep to be able to drive the Jet Skis. Quick - which side is the Port Side?)

Mom and Dad - Dad actually went on the water. He had no choice because he parked on the other side of the lake and had to be brought over on a Jet Ski. Nice work conquering your fear Dad!

Mini Peaches?

The other day I saw a plate of these sitting on the counter, and thought, "Mini-Peaches. How cool!" They were soft, which is good for peaches, so I ate one. I wasn't very good. It was bland. It wasn't sweet. So later that day my mom came home and I told her, "Those wern't very good," and pointed to the "Mini-Peaches". She said, "Yeah, I was really disappointed with them too. They're very soft." I didn't read too much into this, but wondered why anyone would want a hard peach? So, later later that day, My Aunt Beck came over and was looking at the "Mini-Peaches". Our conversation went something like this:

AB - "Oh these look nice."
G - "They're not very good. They didn't have much flavor. It wasn't a very good peach."

She stops and looks at me.

AB - "That's because they're not peaches!"
G - "What? Yes they are?"

She starts cracking up.

AB - "No they're not! They're apricots!"

I start cracking up.

G - "What? No. They're mini peaches!"

At this point we're both laughing hysterically. Apparently, it wasn't very good to me as a peach. And apparently, it wasn't a very good apricot either. And apparently, there is no such thing as "Mini Peaches".

The next day I came home and saw peaches on the counter...I think.
